2 Playing the Old Course at St. Andrews isn'tjust another round of golf - it's like steppinginto a time machine. This place has beenchallenging golfers since the 1400s, andtrust me, it still knows how to humble eventhe best players today.
Look, the course might seem prettystraightforward when you first see it. Wide-open fairways, shared greens (yeah, theyactually have double greens here - wild, right?), and that famous Swilcan Bridgeyou've seen in a million photos. But don't letthat fool you. This course has more tricks upits sleeve than a street magician.
Here's what you need to know to survive outthere: The ground here rolls and tumbleslike waves on the ocean, and the ball willfollow every single contour. And the wind? It's not just strong - it's downrightmischievous. One minute it's at your back, the next it's slapping your ball right back inyour face.
Those massive double greens might looklike easy targets, but they've got moresubtle breaks than a pool table. And thosebunkers? We call them pot bunkers for areason - once you're in, you might need aladder to see out. If you've got a caddie, usethem! These folks know every bump andbreak on this course like the back of theirhand.
Here's the thing about playing St. Andrewsthough - half the battle is between your ears.Standing on that first tee, knowing you'replaying the same course as Old Tom Morris,Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus... it can messwith your head. Take a deep breath. Eventhe greats have looked foolish out here attimes. PLAYING ST. ANDREWS LIKE A LOCAL By Kevin Wilson
Bottom line? Playing the Old Course is something special. Sure, you want to play well - we all do. But don't get so caught up in your score that you forget to soak it all in. Take that photo on the Swilcan Bridge (even if you feel like a tourist), chat with your playing partners, and make some memories. Ready to start preparing for your round?
Stop by Extreme Indoor Golf to dial in your game on our simulators before you head across the pond. And if you want to start preparing for that bucket-list trip now, our St. Andrews simulator session gives you the chance to practice those challenging approach shots and quirky putts before you drop serious cash on the real thing. We've even got the
exact green contours mapped to the inch, including that notorious Road Hole bunker that's swallowed thousands of dreams. Our regulars who've played both say the simulator is scary accurate - right down to the coastal winds that'll make or break your round. Think of it as insurance for your dream golf vacation. Book a session and
let's get you ready for the Home of Golf."

3 SAY GOODBYE TO THE SLICE: STRAIGHTEN YOUR SHOTS AT EXTREME INDOOR GOLF!
First, check your grip. I couldn't see anyknuckles on my left hand - classic weak grip. The pro had me rotate my left hand slightlyright, feeling weirdly strong at first but man, what a difference. My stance was a disaster too. Apparently I'dbeen aiming left subconsciously to compensatefor my slice. Talk about making things worse! The simulator was eye-opening. It showed myclassic "over the top" move - coming outside-inlike I was trying to chop wood, not hit a golf ball. The instant feedback let me feel the differencebetween my usual hack and a proper inside-outswing path.
By Ryan McTavish By Howie Bernt
I spent an hour hitting balls while focusing onclosing the clubface through impact. Felt totallyunnatural at first - I was convinced I'd hookeverything left. But the ball flight doesn't lie.Straight as an arrow. What's killer about Extreme Indoor Golf isseeing everything in real-time. No moreguessing what went wrong. The data tells youexactly what's happening with clubface angle, swing path, all that technical stuff I used toignore.Listen, I dropped 5 strokes literally the nextround after my session. Not kidding. Call themup and book some time. Their instructors don'toverwhelm you with 20 swing thoughts - theyfind your one major issue and fix it. Worth everypenny.See you there - I'll be the guy smiling whilehitting it straight down the middle for once!
